Anal Fissure? π½ Does Botox Work for Anal Fissures?
Botox injections are usually an intermediary attempt to heal an anal fissure. The idea behind Botox injections is to paralyze the muscles in the vicinity of the fissure.
The net result of paralyzing the anal muscles is to reduce or stop spasming of the muscles in the area giving the rectal fissure a greater chance of healing.
Botox injections was something my Proctologist tried on me to cure my anal fissure and it was almost successful.
